Sandusky

How do they do it?

How do they become so heinous, so evil...

And yet so successful.

Think about the most powerful, the wealthy. The Millionaires as it were.

What happened to make them think they were invincible?

Just what, exactly happened at Penn State?

What happens when a Grad Assistant, witnesses one of the most heinous acts in the world, and instead of stopping the act, confronting the attacker head on, just tells some one higher up and does nothing. What happens when that higher up speaks up to another higher up, and the buck just get's passed again. Why...just why...is justice taking this long?

The acts that are alleged to be true are very VERY serious.

Eight different boys, over 15 years.

How did this not get out sooner?

Jerry Sandusky would not be the first or last person to use his position (though retired football defensive coordinator is not neccesarily a great or glamorous position by any means.) but he is certainly right now in the cross hairs of what may be about to be the most public story about sexual abuse in United States history.

I am 27, and maybe I'm wrong, but we I have no recollection of a serial boy rapist in my American History classes. Certainly not one from my home town.

This is could very well be the worst of America.

Maybe the World.

There is plenty wrong in the world that is not uniquely American.

See here
WARNING-Extremely graphic video.

Basically a child gets run over and people just pass by, too bothered by their own predetermined schedule.

There are terrible terrorists, that will suicide bomb random groups of people to send a message.

There are hustlers.

Crooks

Murderers

They are everywhere.

But somehow, here, it feels bizarre, as a feeling that is simultaneously both foreign and familiar.

Why would this man of certain prestige, certain wealth, risk things for his own sick perverse selfish desires?

How did he implement his scheme, to go undetected for 15 years, seemingly RIGHT under everyone's noses?

How do we make our world better after this?

I ask when looking upon this event we do not look at it in ANY kind of political light.

Only in a human one.

I will give Mr. Sandusky his due date in court. The charges are serious, the consequences will be serious, and everyone's attention to detail should be serious. This includes the press, the University, the Attorney General, and most of all, the Public.

Hysteria over the charges cannot be tolerated, we must be a nation of reason, not emotion.

Remember and do not tune out exactly what we are dealing with.

8 boys.
15 years.
Middle Class White Suburbia.

Legendary Football Coaches

Hope you're ready for a magnifying class State College, this story won't be covered up.

  1. His position of power includes his role with the Second Mile. Don't forget that. To me, that's the saddest part. Middle class white suburbia but the kids, as defined by the mission of that org. Were not necessarily part of the safety and privilege that comes from that. And, should the allegations be true he used not just his power through PSU but as a helper to hurt kids. It's the saddest thing .
